Stand Against Racism

Last Friday in April each year

Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA. The annual event is designed to build community among those who work for racial justice and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism. Community organizations, businesses, schools, faith groups can take a Stand Against Racism by hosting an event where participants may gather to take part in a variety of activities: trainings, film/book discussion groups, community education, public policy advocacy, etc. YWCA Evanston/North Shore then encourages all to join our visible Stand Against Racism, lining the streets of our communities, culminating in a commitment or re-commitment to work for racial justice.

Racial Justice Summit

2019 Date TBA!
YWCA Evanston North Shore is on a mission to eliminate racism. To that end, we host an annual Racial Justice Summit to bring people – of all ages and demographics – together to deepen their understanding of their own racial identities, develop skills to work for change, formulate action plans, and engage with others. The summit is open to the public.
