Creative Business Support

Many small business find creative ways of supporting YWCA Evanston/North Shore. These vendors share our commitment to empowering women and eliminating racism, and we are grateful for their support of out work!

Ann Catherine (www.anncatherine.com) donates $5 from the sale of each scarf (any style) to our Domestic Violence Program -- the only comprehensive residential domestic violence program in the northeastern Chicago metropolitan area. You can know that with any scarf purchase, you will be helping to protect and empower survivors and their children.

Dynamic Colors Painting & Restoration (1226 Elmwood Ave, Evanston) will donate 5% of the cost of any job they complete to support our programs and services if the customer mentions YWCA Evanston/North Shore.

Shaker Traditions (613 Dempster St, Evanston) makes a donation to YWCA Evanston/North Shore for every hand made origami box purchased at their store.

Ten Thousand Villages (719 Main St, Evanston) periodically invites YWCA Evanston/North Shore to promote our work during business hours at their store. While we're there, they donate 10% of sales.

Whole Foods Market (1640 Chicago Ave, Evanston) supports our Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate each year and has donated ingredients for Nutrition and Healthy Cooking classes YWCA Evanston/North Shore offers to various community groups.

La De Da (1957 Cherry Lane in Northbrook) hosted "Moms Helping Moms," a Mother's Day supply drive to benefit our domestic violence shelter. For a full week, La De Da collected toiletries, towels, gift cards, personal items, diapers and bedding.
