On May 14, a fire broke out on the fifth floor of YWCA Madison’s downtown facility at 101 E. Mifflin Street, forcing all of the 12-story building’s residents to evacuate, including 21 children. We are so glad that no one was injured. However, eighteen families have been displaced from their homes due to water damage. Many people have contacted us to express concern and ask how they can assist. We welcome your donations to support these families as they recover from this traumatic event. If you would like to designate your donate to this fund, check the Fire Recovery Fund designation below. Otherwise, your donation will go to our general fund, which supports programs with the greatest needs. Thank you!
