YWCA Child Care at 25 W. Rayen Avenue in downtown Youngstown is committed to providing the highest quality preschool program possible in a warm and nurturing environment.  It's convenient for parents who live or work in downtown Youngstown and surrounding areas.

Year-round preschool is available for ages 3 to 5 years.

Preschool Program Highlights:

  • Introducing NEW STEM Focused curriculum
  • Age-appropriate curriculum designed for kindergarten readiness
  • Enrichment classes include language arts, cultural diversity, and music
    arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor free and structured play, field trips
  • Certified and degreed teachers
  • Low staff/child ratio
  • Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack
  • State licensed - Contracted with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Financial assistance is available for eligible families.

Hours of Operation: 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday

YWCA Early Care & Education program has been awarded four stars from the Step Up to Quality Award from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services - Bureau of Child Care and Development, the state agency responsible for licensing and promoting high standards among Ohio’s child care programs.

In 2014:

34 children attended the YWCA's preschool program.  This program is geared towards kindergarten readiness and  provides a solid base for future academic success.
