The African American Caregiving and Wellness Forum VI
Bringing Alzheimer’s Into the Light
April 12, 2014 8:30 am - 2:00 pm

Please join us for our 6th Annual African American Caregiving and Wellness Forum: Bringing Alzheimer’s Into the Light on April 12, 2014. This is your opportunity to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, and interact with other caregivers in similar caregiving situations as you. African Americans continue to be twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, and more likely diagnosed in the late stages of this disease. In addition to learning more about Alzheimer’s disease, caregivers will learn how to respond when Alzheimer’s causes unpredictable behaviors, how to reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer’s, and various ways to stay strong during stressful caregiving experiences.
