|Join us in recognizing and thanking those who played an integral part in the growth of the sport of rugby in the United States at the U.S.R.F. Rugby Hall of Fame Induction Dinner. This year's event will be held at the Inn at the Ballpark in Houston, TX on Saturday, June 8, 2013. A cocktail reception will begin at 4:00 pm which will give one a chance to meet and greet the inductees. A pre-test match dinner, along with a U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame presentation will follow from 5:00-6:30.
The inductees include 1924 U.S. Olympic Gold Medal winning captain, Colby “Babe” Slater; other former U.S. Eagles greats Rob Bordley, Craig Sweeney and Kevin Higgins; former U.S. National Team coach Ray Cornbill; one of the first U.S. international referees and past president of the USARFU Ian Nixon; rugby media pioneers Jon Prusmack and Ed Hagerty; and Ed Lee, Vic Hilarov, Dick Smith and Harry Langenberg, who helped build the sport of rugby in the U.S.
Tickets for this year's dinner are $100 each.
