Remember Medicare: End the Two-Year Waiting Period

Take Action On This Issue

We encourage you to personalize your letter.

Medicare provides access to health care for not only older Americans, but also millions of people with serious disabilities. However, after being deemed disabled by the government, people under 65 must wait two years before becoming eligible for Medicare coverage.

Tell your Senator or Representative to include ending the two-year waiting period in health care reform, and give people with disabilities access to the health coverage that they are guaranteed under Medicare.
