National Alzheimer’s Plan – Make Your Voice Count

Officials creating the National Alzheimer’s Plan need to hear from people like you! Come out to this public forum and tell them what you want to see in a national strategy to help those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Join us at an input session in your area.

Advocacy is an important way the Alzheimer’s Association advances its goals. The support of people like you makes all the difference. We need your input for the National Alzheimer’s Project Act, which will ensure the coordination and evaluation of all national efforts in Alzheimer’s research, clinical care, institutional, and home- and community-based programs and their outcomes.

Please help us by participating in an input session in your area. For more information, contact Matt Ling at 713.314.1313. Join us in making a difference in the lives of people affected by Alzheimer’s.

What is an advocate?

Alzheimer advocates play an important role in improving the quality of care and quality of life for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families by working to improve dementia care and services; improve access to community-based care; improve quality care in residential settings; and expand funding for research and public programs serving people with dementia.

As an advocate, you will:

  • Receive regular updates about current legislative and public policy issues.
  • Stay on top of policy and legislative issues through alerts and updates.
  • Make calls or write to legislators to forward public policy priorities to improve quality of life for those living with Alzheimer’s.
