Community Service

One of the pillars of Notre Dame alumni is the commitment to serving the community.  The Notre Dame Club of Atlanta continues to participate in many community service efforts in the metro Atlanta area, including:

1) Tax Assistance Program (TAP)

2) Hospital Support Program

3) Hesburgh Month of Service

Notre Dame Club of Atlanta members wish Father Hesburgh a Happy 92nd birthday through renovation work completed with DeKalb Habitat for Humanity, May 2009

As of 2010, NDAtlanta has a new community service coordinator! Leo Desrosiers will be in charge of leading our club's community service efforts.  If you're got an idea for a project our club could work on, or you would like to assist Leo in coordinating an event, you can reach him at mdesrosi@bellsouth.net.

Save the Dates!
We're working on developing a relationship with the Ronald McDonald House here in Atlanta to come and serve dinner regularly to the residents there.  Our next three dates are Sunday, May 23rd, Sunday, July 4th (we're planning a great 4th of July BBQ that you won't want to miss helping with to brighten the holiday of the families there!), and Sunday, December 5th (we're planning some holiday fun, so keep your eyes peeled).

These are great events to bring children 8 or older to so they can begin to understand the importance of giving back and how important it is to the Notre Dame community, so you're definitely encouraged to bring the family with you to assist in service!
