“A Miki Make-Over” Cherokee Lounge Project

“And the walls, came tumblin’ down!” That’s what happened July 26-27 when 35 members of the Mikanakawa Lodge gathered to begin remodeling the staff lounge at Camp Cherokee. Armed with crowbars and sledgehammers, representatives of eight chapters began demolishing the interior of the existing lounge. When the dust cleared, approximately 90 percent of the demolition had been completed and installation of new walls had begun. There is still much work to be done, and the Miki commitment to this project is ongoing. (Read Full Story)

A new fundraising initiative is under way in Mikanakawa Lodge. We have established a new URL where you can view and purchase pictures of Lodge events and activities.The funds received from this endeavour will help support Lodge programs, so dues will not have to be raised in the near future. Thanks to Scott Thompson (Associate Lodge Advisor - Lodge History) for setting up this activity, and thanks again, to Scott and all the photographers who provided the photos (Mikiphotos)
