For more information about the event or sponsorship opportunities, please call 703-739-7778.
The first annual Generations of Giving Gala was a huge success! This sold-out event was held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at The Torpedo Factory Art Center and helped to kick-off Spring for Alexandria 2008, a three day celebration of service and giving across our city.
ACT recreated the childhood fun of hopscotch and hula hoops, ice cream sundaes and lemonade. Proceeds from the evening went to ACT's Community Fund to support programs to assure that all of Alexandria's children have the chance for their own cherished memories of childhood. Honoring personal and family philanthropy in Alexandria, the evening culminated with the presentation of the first annual Legacy of Giving Award to the Simpson family. Learn more about the Simpson Family in the Alexandria Times article, published on April 24, 2008.
ACT Advisory Board Member Andrew Blair presents the Legacy of Giving Award to Donnie Simpson, Jr.
The Rubber Ducky Raffle raised $2000 for ACT's Community Fund.
