Women's Giving Circle of Alexandria (WGCA)

Launched in 2004 by ACT, the Women's Giving Circle of Alexandria is a philanthropic investment organization that offers a new, strategic approach to philanthropy.  By pooling the financial and intellectual resources provided by over 300 women living in Alexandria, the WGCA is making a strategic and sustainable difference in the lives of children and their families. 

Their members work with community leaders and experts to help address the needs of the community on a daily basis.  The WGCA members gain understanding on how to break down the barriers standing in the way of a child's success and invest in effective programs.  By working with nonprofit organizations, the WGCA facilitaties the establishment of new programs that reach children and families who had not been reached previously.
