Alexandria Community Trust

Alexandria Council of Human Service Organizations

Before ACT, our city's many youth, homeless prevention, health services, and other experts had few ways to work with each other.  Opportunities were lost - ACT created a new, more efficient solution.  The Alexandria Council of Human Service Organizations, a joint project with the City of Alexandria's Department of Human Services, brings together high-level city and nonprofit agencies to to benefit the entire Alexandria community.  The result is an innovative and integrated human services model.  The Council meets on a quarterly basis and its members work together in order to expand existing resources and develop new services, while working to deliver "one vision and one voice" for human services in Alexandria.

The ACHSO has just released the 2008 Alexandria Human Services Needs Assessment.
