1. Duration and Reporting: Donor groups participating in FINCA's Friends Asking Friends for FINCA (FAFF) have 3 months from the date of the first donation to raise the $5,000 necessary to qualify to participate in this program. This amount is the approximate level of funds required to provide loan capital for a typical Village Bank in the targeted countries for this program. All funds raised and donated to FINCA via the FAFF on-line donation tool during that period will be restricted as loan capital to the country program specified by the donor group. Haiti, Jordan, Zambia and Tajikistan are the country programs participating in the FAFF Summer Campaign. Village Bank borrowers are obligated to repay the loans, after which they become part of the country program's available loan capital. It is expected that loan funds or repaid loan capital will continue to be used specifically for funding additional loans, or otherwise in support of the program. Donations are made to FINCA International, as a charitable contribution, which in turn provides the funds to the selected country program.
2. Donor groups which successfully meet the $5,000 fundraising target within three months will receive a Sponsorship Packet within one month, and a follow-up report on the status of the country program selected one year after reaching the fundraising target. This annual follow-up report completes the program reporting. If the $5,000 is not raised and donated via on-line donations within three months, all funds raised and donated will be combined with another fundraising group (or groups) which also fell short of raising $5,000 for the same country program. The Funds will then be restricted as loan capital to the country selected by both groups, and the two groups will receive the same Sponsorship Packet and annual follow-up report on the status of the country program. Hard copy reporting will be sent to the designated FAFF group leader; electronic copies of reporting will be sent to team members.
3. Ownership: FINCA International will have full ownership and rights to use, edit, modify, and remove any text or images posted on the FAFF site by FAFF participants. Furthermore, FINCA has the right to replicate and reuse any posted material at its discretion. Material considered unsuitable may be excluded or removed by FINCA at its discretion.
4. Communication: Friends Asking Friends for FINCA participants may select the country in which they would like to sponsor a Village Bank but cannot select the bank they support, or, contact Village Bankers under any circumstances. FINCA clients have rights to privacy, and it is FINCA International's policy to protect those rights without exception.
