2012 Symposium Advocacy

July 11, 2012 Advocacy Day

On Wednesday July 11, the Mesothelioma community will be storming the Hill to educate their Congressional Representative and Senators on mesothelioma and the critical need for medical research funding. In the current economic climate, all federal programs are at risk of funding cuts. An in-person visit to a legislator is the single-most effective advocacy tool, please consider joining us!

Making a visit has never been easier- Meso Foundation staff will set your appointments, provide informational materials and offer any support you need for your visits. When you register for the Symposium, be sure to check the box to be contacted to schedule your visits!

Can’t make it this year?

While advocates for mesothelioma are fanning out across Capitol Hill urging Congress to sustain and increase funding for critical programs, we are offering those at home the chance to use their voice as well. We will be offering a “Virtual Advocacy Day” this year to extend and expand the reach of our message. You can add your voice right from your computer! Stay tuned for details…
