Kintera Unveils Kintera Connect, an Open Platform for Nonprofit Application Integration and Extensibility

Nonprofits Offered Freedom to Select Best of Breed Solutions From Kintera's Network of Application Partners, Including Echopass, Mobile Commons, Campbell Rinker and Solid Cactus

SAN DIEGO - July 10, 2007 - Kintera® Inc. (NASDAQ: KNTA) today announced Kintera Connect™, the company's upcoming open application integration platform that provides nonprofits with the freedom to select solutions to best meet their unique needs. Enabling the integration and extensibility of applications, the Kintera Connect software as a service (SaaS) platform will feature applications provided by Kintera and its application partner network, providing new solutions to the challenges organizations face and the freedom to innovate.

Built on Kintera's existing Web services, the new Kintera Connect platform will enable developers and partners to integrate directly with Kintera technology, resulting in the availability of best of breed solutions through the Kintera Connect partner program. The initial partner network is comprised of leading application partners in both the nonprofit and enterprise sectors, such as TMA Resources, Campbell Rinker, Mobile Commons, DailyStrength, Jacobson Consulting, Solid Cactus, Echopass, Freecause, FISC Solutions, CopperKey, Razorsight, Quantrix, Frontline Data, AQ2 Technologies, BringLight and WPG Solutions, Inc. Connecting to the Kintera SaaS platform also enables technology providers and partners to extend their value within the nonprofit sector.

"The Kintera Connect platform not only increases the choices available to nonprofits to meet their technology and business needs, but expands the reach and capabilities of industry partners by enabling them to take advantage of the information captured in Kintera Sphere," said Richard N. LaBarbera, Kintera CEO. "In addition, technology providers benefit from Kintera's partner support and application team."

Kintera Connect offers nonprofits the power to choose applications from both enterprise and nonprofit providers to best meet their organizational needs - from e-commerce to short message services (SMS) to call center technology and more - closing gaps in nonprofit technology and business needs. The resulting application integration is more time-efficient and cost-effective for nonprofits than traditional multi-vendor approaches.

"By opening their platform to applications such as association management and membership software, Kintera is changing the landscape for nonprofit technology selection. The close integration with applications, such as TMA Resources' association management software, will allow many nonprofits to reduce their dependence on multiple vendors, relieve internal IT resources and more easily share data between applications," said Edi Dor, CEO of TMA Resources.

Kintera Connect is designed to provide nonprofits with limitless choice of applications to meet their unique organizational needs. Building on Kintera's existing APIs, the company is focused on providing a more robust application integration platform and extending APIs to more partners based on nonprofits' business and technology needs.

"DailyStrength looks forward to using Kintera Connect to enable consumers to contribute directly to nonprofits within our Web site, and to better enable nonprofit organizations to work with our company," said Doug Hirsch, DailyStrength CEO. "The platform has the potential to expand and enrich our capabilities - as well as other Kintera partners' - by enabling our organization to leverage leading fundraising technologies and bridging the gaps that exist in both organizational needs and consumer experiences within the nonprofit sector."

"Our open platform is designed to benefit nonprofit organizations, technology providers and partners, as well as our own company," said Scott Crowder, Kintera chief technology officer. "Kintera Connect has the potential to transform the way nonprofits operate by enabling them to select the best technology and business partners to meet their needs."

Kintera is currently assessing additional potential technology providers and partners to join the growing list of organizations integrating with Kintera. Software applications will be available to nonprofits in September 2007.
