Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center—For the expansion of its direct legal services for low-income Asian Americans in Montgomery County in four priority areas: employment, domestic violence, family law and immigration.
Caribbean Help Center— For general operating support to offer African, Haitian, and other Caribbean immigrant clients an integrated approach to education, employment, and social services.
CASA de Maryland, Inc.—To support the new Center for Employment and Training in Gaithersburg, which provides permanent and temporary employment opportunities as well as legal counseling.
Child Center and Adult Services, Inc.—For expansion of the Community Cares program which provides mental health services to low-income, uninsured Latino residents in upper Montgomery County.
Chinese American Senior Services, Inc. —To establish a pilot health screening project for low-income Chinese seniors, including essential blood testing services, health education, and referrals.
CollegeTracks —To support the college access program at Wheaton High School, which provides low-income minority and immigrant students with assistance in exploring postsecondary education opportunities and navigating the college application process.
Community Bridges— For general support of its empowerment and leadership programs that serve low-income girls and their families in Silver Spring/Takoma Park.
Community Ministries of Rockville— For the Latino Outreach Program, which provides family-centered English language instruction and a work skills training program for Latino families in Rockville.
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Montgomery County— For the recruitment, training, and supervision of community volunteers to serve as advocates on behalf of abused and neglected children in the county foster care system.
Crossway Community, Inc. —To support the new vocabulary enhancement program to supplement education-focused childcare services offered to children of fragile, single-parent families living in transitional housing.
The Dwelling Place— For transitional housing and intensive case management services for homeless families in Upper Montgomery County.
Family Services Agency, Inc. —To offer The Keys to Success Program, a bilingual afternoon summer program which provides academic support, job skills, and parenting classes for teen mothers and fathers from Gaithersburg and Watkins Mill High Schools.
GapBuster Learning Center, Inc.—For the Cross-Tutorial Mentoring program, which provides academic support and enrichment for low-income and minority students.
George B. Thomas, Sr. Learning Academy, Inc.—For the Saturday School to expand academic tutoring and mentoring for students in grades 1-12 throughout the county to help address the achievement gap.
Greater Washington Youth Philanthropy Initiative (The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region) —For the support of the youth-led grantmaking and leadership development program which enables young people to promote youth civic engagement, while building the capacity of organizations to engage youth as real partners in community problem-solving.
Housing Opportunities Community Partners, Inc. —To pilot the Career Building Blocks (CBB) program which will provide job development services to low-income families living in publicly subsidized housing throughout Montgomery County.
Housing Unlimited, Inc. —For the Extra Measure Property Management Program, which provides tenancy education and training to low-income residents with psychiatric disabilities so they may become responsible community members.
IMPACT Silver Spring —For support of an initiative encouraging new leaders who represent the county’s multicultural community to strengthen their voices and activism concerning issues such as education, housing and community development.
Interfaith Works (Community Ministry of Montgomery County) —For support of programs and social services working with the county’s most vulnerable residents through faith-based partnerships.
John T. Walker Transitional House/ St. Anne's Episcopal Church —For general operating support to meet both the housing and educational needs of the current tenant family, such as utilities and college tuition and fees.
Latino Economic Development Corporation —For expansion of its Homeownership Counseling Program, which offers bilingual training and one-on-one counseling on home foreclosure prevention and intervention to low and moderate-income Latinos and other immigrants.
Life Skills Workshop, Inc. —To provide job readiness training and mentoring support to women recovering from substance abuse, homelessness, incarceration, and domestic violence.
Literacy Council of Montgomery County, MD —For expansion of services in the form of English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults seeking to learn to read, write, and speak basic English.
Manna Food Center—For general operating support to collect more surplus food, store it safely and distribute it throughout the county to families at risk of hunger.
Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers (Latin American Youth Center) —For a summer work skills development and internship program for at-risk youth to increase academic achievement, develop career goals and adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
Maryland Vietnamese Mutual Association —For the Vietnamese Parent Enrichment Project to equip low-income Vietnamese parents with the resources and knowledge to increase engagement in their children’s educational and social development.
Mental Health Association of Montgomery County —For the Family Foremost Center which promotes healthy family functioning and child development by providing training, mentoring, and case management support services to low-income families with young children.
Mobile Medical Care, Inc.—For prescription medication subsidies to improve medical conditions for low-income, uninsured, and homeless adults in the county.
Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless —To support the Back-to-Work project at the Men’s Emergency Shelter, which provides critical vocational counseling and job training for homeless men in Montgomery County.
Montgomery Housing Partnership, Inc.—For the expansion of its Community Life programs for children living in MHP affordable housing communities by increasing the capacity of existing programs and implementing new programs in additional neighborhoods.
National Fatherhood Initiative—For the InsideOut Dads program that connects fathers who are incarcerated at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility with their children and families, equipping them for successful reintegration into society.
Nonprofit Montgomery!—To support the collective strength, visibility, and influence of the nonprofit sector in Montgomery County in order to partner more effectively with government and business in meeting the county’s needs.
Passion for Learning Initiative—For support of GRRL Tech, an after-school enrichment program to help girls advance their interests, skills, and career aspirations in math, science, and technology.
Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington DC, Inc.—For its Montgomery County Hispanic MedEd Teen Clinic in Gaithersburg to provide health education, prevention, and outreach services to at-risk teenagers.
Primary Care Coalition of Montgomery County, MD Inc.—For the Tree House Child Assessment Center which helps to ensure that the testimony of abused children is collected and documented in a manner that is legally sound and avoids the need for duplicative interviewing.
Rebuilding Together Montgomery County—For its Home Modification program for low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled.
Red Wiggler Community Farm—For the horticultural therapy and vocational training program for adults with developmental disabilities which provides therapeutic benefits of working at the Red Wiggler farm in Damascus, including job skills, income, confidence, and social connections with customers, youth and adult volunteers, and the community.
Shepherd's Table—For the Eye Clinic, which provides free basic eye care for homeless, poor, uninsured and underinsured adults in the county through a network of volunteer eye care professionals.
Silver Spring Interfaith Housing Coalition—For affordable supported housing and mentoring programs to provide neighborhood-based support to formerly homeless individuals and families.
St. Joseph's House—To support its childcare program for severely disabled children that provides before and after-school care as well as weekend respite to families.
St. Luke's House, Inc.—For expansion of its business mentor initiative in order develop employment opportunities for residents with mental illnesses.
Top Banana Home Delivered Groceries, Inc.—To provide affordable and dependable delivery of groceries and household goods to seniors so that they may maintain healthy, independent lives in their own homes.
