Sharing Montgomery Fund

Application Process

The Montgomery County Community Foundation is now accepting letters of inquiry for its 2009-2010 Sharing Montgomery Fund Grants Cycle. We are interested in receiving letters of inquiry from nonprofits working in diverse issue areas benefiting low-income children, families, and seniors living in Montgomery County.

For this grant cycle, the Montgomery County Community Foundation will make between $150,000 - $200,000 in grants through the Sharing Montgomery Fund.  Grants may support special projects or continuation funding, including general operating support.  The average grant will be $5,000.

Last year,  the Sharing Montgomery Fund gave $160,000 in grants to 39 organizations, which was part of the $5.3 million total given to county organizations through all of the Community Foundation’s family, corporate and community leadership funds in that same period.   The grant list of the Sharing Montgomery Fund is widely shared with the MCCF donor community to interest these families and businesses in directly supporting some of the best nonprofits working with vulnerable residents.
