Asthma and Exercise

Asthma doesn’t need to get in the way of a healthy lifestyle and that includes exercising – even if exercise is the “trigger” that brings on asthma symptoms. The key is good asthma management. You need to “treat to compete!”

For answers to your exercise and asthma questions as well as any other lung health issues, we encourage you to call our toll free Call Center, a lung health line, at 800-548-8252.

Specially trained nurses and respiratory therapists are waiting for your call and are happy to assist you. You can call as often as you like too – we understand that new questions can come to mind over time.

We have a host of other asthma tools and resources for people with asthma, caregivers, teachers and health professionals. Call the American Lung Association of Wisconsin office at 262-703-4200 for more information.

Remember: know your asthma symptoms, triggers, appropriate medications and have a plan to “treat to compete!”
