Designed for respiratory therapists, nurses and pharmacists with some background in asthma. The course has been developed in accordance with the 1997 American Lung Association/American Thoracic Society Asthma Task Force Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma, as well as the 1997 National Institute of Health Asthma Guidelines.
The workshop provides recipients with the knowledge and tools necessary for the successful assessment and management of patient asthma. It also provides participants with the tools and resources to help prepare for the national asthma educator certification exam.
