Support Group Information

Location:  University  of Michigan Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, Burlington Office Center, lower level, 325 East Eisenhower Parkway, Ann Arbor, MI, 48103.  Free, easily accessible and handicapped parking is available. 

Dates: Second Saturday of each month. (with occasional exceptions, see below)

Time: 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Support group meetings are professionally facilitated and feature guest speakers providing current medical information on topics of particular concern to IPF patients and their family members. Recent topics include "Nutrition and IPF", "Supplemental Oxygen", "Managing Breathlessness", "Relaxation and Stress Reduction" and "Caring for the Caregiver". 

The next meeting will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 10 am until noon. In recognition of World Happy Day, which is February 11, 2012, the topic for the February meeting is "Happiness and Where to Find It". Patients, spouses, family members and friends are invited to attend this, and all, meetings.

What to bring: Friends and family members are welcome. Please bring your supplemental oxygen tank(s). Beverages are provided, but please feel free to bring a snack or lunch.
