Antiretroviral treatment (ART) has changed HIV from a death sentence into a manageable disease. With ART, HIV-positive people can raise their families, return to work, and participate in the lives of their communities. However, of the millions of people worldwide living with HIV, only a fraction have access to this life-saving treatment.
People living with HIV are teachers, doctors, health care workers, farmers, entrepreneurs, and, perhaps most importantly, parents. They represent their countries' futures, and saving their lives is key to economic growth and the creation of stable societies.
Saving the lives of these men, women, and children may also be our best hope to build a more peaceful world.
Accomplishing just this is a priority for the Clinton Foundation. We are assisting national governments as they scale up integrated treatment, care and prevention programs that will turn the tide on the pandemic. We and our partner countries in Africa, the Caribbean, and Asia are committed to making high quality treatment and care affordable and accessible.
We need your support in this critical work. Working together we can save lives, stop this terrible disease, and build a better world for our children.
Please support the HIV/AIDS Initiative today.
