Join PetSmart Charities® for the 2009 PetWalk!
What:
Inaugural PetWalk; a 5K and one mile walk with all proceeds going to PetSmart Charities® and local animal welfare agencies.
Who:
Any 501 (c) (3) animal welfare organization, corporation, family or individual can participate. We encourage you to bring your friendly, leashed pets but everyone must abide by the following rules regarding pets at the PetWalk.
1. Female dogs in heat are not allowed to participate in the PetWalk.
2. For all animals, minimum age to participate is 4 months old and fully vaccinated including rabies. Puppies should also be vaccinated for parvo and distemper.
3. No dogs off leash at any time (unless they are apart of the Dog Agility Team)
4. Dogs that show a display of aggression towards people or other animals will not be permitted to participate in the PetWalk.
5. Any companion animals, other than dogs, should be safely contained or leashed and the event should be as enjoyable for them as it is for the pet parent.
6. We strongly suggest that all pets have current identification on them in the form of a tag and/or micro chipped.

How:
There are many ways to get involved with the PetWalk and help PetSmart Charities® raise money to help each homeless animal find a loving home.
- Sponsor the PetWalk – there are various levels with marketing benefits at each level
- Register – walk, fundraise, and help us save homeless pets
- Donate – funds or in-kind goods and services for the PetWalk to decrease expenses
- Volunteer – help out the day of the PetWalk and bring your co-workers, family and friends
