Safety First!

We're glad you've decided to explore My Animal Island! Before you get on your way, here are a few tips on how to stay safe on the internet:

Shhhh …keep your personal information top secret.

No matter how much you love your real name, never use it, or anything close to it, as your user name.

It's fun to win prizes, but don't get caught up in the excitement and give out your home address without checking with a parent or trusted adult first.

It is not rude to ignore e-mails and messages from people that you don't know or trust. And even if you are a little curious, don't open them!

If anything makes you feel uncomfortable, or if anyone is acting weird, tell a trusted adult right away. You can also report inappropriate behavior to us by emailing webupdates@ifaw.org.

Talk with your family and teachers about your online friends and activities. Show them this web site so you can decide together if this is the right place for you explore and learn.
