ABOUT THE ADVENTURE AQUARIUM:
There are always more NEW things to see and do at Adventure Aquarium, where families can explore, discover and play 365 days a year! Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning guest, you can count on new hands-on activities, new animals and exhibits and unforgettable moments of magic with biologists. Now through March 24, Adventure Aquarium invites you to come out of your shell to experience Turtles: Journey of Survival. This limited-engagement exhibit showcases an impressive array of land and aquatic turtle and tortoise species from all over the world - over 20 different turtles - including two recently rescued Loggerhead Sea turtles. The exhibit includes the largest and most diverse collection of turtles ever assembled at Adventure Aquarium and will feature special character appearances and live shows. Guests can also get hands-on at seven different touch exhibits; experience massive hippos nose-to-nose; and witness the most impressive shark collection on the East Coast, including the ONLY Great Hammerhead sharks exhibited in the country!
ABOUT DINOSAUR TRAIN:
Broadcast on WHYY-TV weekdays at 2:30 pm, Dinosaur Train embraces and celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains, while encouraging basic scientific thinking skills as the audience learns about life science, natural history and paleontology. Each of the 40 half-hour episodes features Buddy, an adorable preschool age Tyrannosaurus Rex, and includes two 11-minute animated stories along with brief live action segments hosted by renowned paleontologist Dr. Scott Sampson. Young viewers can join Buddy and his adoptive Pteranodon family on a whimsical voyage through prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes and oceans, as they unearth basic concepts in life science, natural history and paleontology.
ABOUT WILD KRATTS:
Broadcast on WHYY-TV weekdays at 4:30 pm, Wild Kratts follows the adventures of Chris and Martin Kratt as they encounter incredible wild animals, combining science education with fun and adventure, while traveling to animal habitats around the globe. Each adventure explores an age-appropriate science concept central to an animal’s life and showcases a never-before-seen wildlife moment. It’s all wrapped up in engaging stories of adventure, mystery, rescue, and the Kratt brothers’ brand of laugh-out-loud-comedy that kids love.
