Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta enhances the lives of children through excellence in patient care, research and education. Serving our community with more than 30 pediatric specialties, Children’s is committed to being a model for pediatric care. Children’s was formed in 1998 when Egleston Children’s Health Care System and Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center joined to form a unified healthcare system. In February 2006, HSOC Inc., an affiliate of Children’s, began providing services at Children’s at Hughes Spalding. Today, Children’s is one of the country’s leading pediatric hospitals.

A not-for-profit organization that benefits from generous philanthropic and volunteer support, Children’s serves patients from all walks of life. Children’s is the largest Medicaid provider in the state, serving eight out of 10 pediatric inpatient Medicaid cases in Atlanta and four out of 10 statewide. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is committed to providing medically needed healthcare to the children of Georgia. In 2008, Children’s provided $103 million in unreimbursed care to patients.
