Deferred Gifts

A deferred gift is one in which a donor establishes a donation through their will, insurance policy, annuity, etc. but doesn’t become effective or complete until the conditions described in the agreement are fulfilled.  Often times those conditions can be when the donor reaches a certain age, upon a donor’s retirement, or upon the 18th birthday of the donor’s child.  These stipulations allow the donor to take care of their needs as well as their favorite charity.  It is recommended that anyone considering establishing a deferred gift consult with their attorney or estate planner.  If you have any questions, please call Jeff Iliff at (317) 819-1181 ext 235 or email at jiliff@lungin.org.
