The Journey Begins Here

Da Vinci Code movie posterWith 40 million copies in print, and a major film releasing May 19, it would be a mistake to dismiss The Da Vinci Code. Fortunately, we do not have to. As Dr. Stanley says, this cultural event provides us as Christians an opportunity to remember why we believe what we believe. That is why InTouch Ministries launched this site.

Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code quotes Leonardo Da Vinci's notebooks: "Blind ignorance misleads us. . . . O! wretched mortals, open your eyes." The book and the movie presume ignorance—of the Bible and church history, yes, but also of world history. InTouch Ministries hopes these pages will help you "open your eyes" and begin to discern the truth.

Your journey from deception to discernment begins here. Beginning May 14, you'll find Web-exclusive content each day that answers the key questions raised in The Da Vinci Code, questions about the church, about Jesus, about God. Until then, use the checklist at left to prepare yourself for the journey.

Remember, the church is not at war with Dan Brown or The Da Vinci Code but with falsehood, with the great Enemy whose language is lies. You will only be vulnerable to such lies if you do not know or have forgotten the truth. Let this Web site train you to seek the truth, and prepare to confront the Code.
