Faith
How can I apply my faith?
To apply our faith is to live as if God will keep His promises. A question I often ask myself is, How would I conduct my life if I really believed God is who He says He is and if I really believed the Bible is His Word? That is what living by faith is all about—taking God at His Word.
So, what about you? How would you conduct your life if you really believed God is who He says He is and if you really believed the Bible is His Word? How would that affect the way you do business? How would that affect your giving? How would that affect the way you treat your neighbors?
Living by faith requires that we become familiar with God's promises to us. The Bible is filled with promises for believers. Nothing is more encouraging or nurturing to our faith than reviewing God's promises. Every morning when I awake I review a list of promises that I have assembled. I rehearse in my mind His promises regarding my forgiveness, my protection, my relationship with Him, and the future inheritance He is preparing for all His children. I have also made it a habit to claim certain promises for my children.
