Alumnus Inspires California Western Graduates to Carry Skills, Values into Practice
More than 60 California Western School of Law graduates begin next chapter of legal careers today

SAN DIEGO, December 17, 2012 - Attorney Charles R. Grebing addressed 64 California Western School of Law graduates receiving their Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degrees today, at a ceremony held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel.

During his commencement speech, Grebing emphasized the graduates’ responsibility to fulfill their future clients’ expectations of diligence as they continue to build upon the skills and meticulous work ethic that shaped their legal education.

“You have had an opportunity to be trained and mentored by a distinguished faculty that shared the best they have to offer,” said Grebing, a 1970 California Western graduate. “Now is the time to be the best that you can be, for the most important person in your career—the client.”

Student speaker Joseph C. Carr thanked the family and friends who supported the graduates during their law school experience, and delivered an inspirational message that had been handed down by his father.

“When you do the right thing, the right things happen,” shared Carr, who added that the spirit of altruism shared by the students, faculty, and staff at California Western contributes to the school’s many successes.
