During the month of September, CureSearch for Children’s Cancer is launching the Nurses Challenge and we invite you to participate!

CureSearch understands the important role nurses play in the lives of patients and families. This challenge has been designed to highlight and support the nursing profession in the following direct ways:

• 40% of all funds raised by nursing teams will be dedicated to the nursing discipline through the COG Nurses Fund
• Each Nurse who individually raises $1,000 will be entered into a raffle to receive $500 worth of travel credit or registration to the COG or APHON Conference in 2011. 3 winners will be selected.
• Each Nurse who individually raises $500 will be entered into a raffle to receive a credit of APHON membership dues for 2011
  *The goal of $10,000 must be raised for these great prizes to be awarded. We know you can do it!

If you do not see a walk in your town, we invite you to participate in the CureSearch Walk America (link) – an online fundraising campaign during childhood cancer awareness month. All funds raised count toward our National Nurses fundraising goal and support the lifesaving work of the Children’s Oncology Group.

Winners of the National Nurses Challenge will be announced at the 2010 APHON Annual Conference!
