In honor of the 75th birthday anniversary of John Coltrane, The John Coltrane Foundation was established to provide scholarships to outstanding young musicians and to create venues for these young artists to perform.
The Foundation's goal is to encourage and advance the performance of jazz music and other forms of artistic expressionin the jazz idiom, which are the same goals and values embodied in the music of John Coltrane.
