MAD LIBS: How do you _____ (verb) on the Side of Love?
Over the last few years, you have heard about, talked about, and donated to support a series of national and regional marketing efforts focused on raising the visibility of Unitarian Universalism and inviting visitors to our congregations. We, and the many congregations and individuals who benefited from those programs, thank you!
Starting now, we are building on that success, and directing our energy and resources towards projects that actively help heal our world. Find out how. www.StandingontheSideofLove.org
Association Sunday: The final countdown
We are now just days away! The final countdown to the third-annual Association Sunday , scheduled for October 4, 2009, has begun!
Preparations for the big day are ramping up. Donation envelopes and other materials have been mailed to all of our participating congregations. If you have not yet received your packet, please e-mail us at associationsunday@uua.org.
And, don?t forget that a variety of organizing and worship resources ? including order of service inserts and a video of former UUA president Bill Sinkford speaking about the importance of Growing Our Diversity ? are available online.
As of today, 454 congregations, representing nearly 110,000 Unitarian Universalists, have signed up to strengthen our connections and Grow Our Diversity! Is your congregation on the list ?
You can be an Empowering Congregation! This year, we will honor the congregation in each district contributing the largest total amount, as well as the congregation giving the largest amount per member. It is inspirational to see our congregations come together to celebrate the third annual Association Sunday. Contribute generously at your Association Sunday service or donate online.
Not signed up? It?s not too late to register to join other UUs all over the country in affirming our common bonds.
Can?t be at services for Association Sunday? Donate now online and credit your gift to your congregation?s total!
Experience transformational generosity in your congregation
This summer?s edition of the Annual Program Fund Quarterly is now (online)!
The latest issue highlights stories of creative and transformational approaches to generosity within congregations, explores the concept of generosity as a spiritual practice, and encourages us to not shy away from discussing the vital (and inspirational!) role that generosity plays in the expression of our faith.
