Friends of TOMS invites you to participate in a New Orleans
Style Your Sole Shoe Drop!
Through our international volunteer efforts we have visited communities where the need for footwear is great. Less obvious, yet still critical, is the need right here in the United States. Though children may have a pair of shoes, they may not fit properly, are borrowed, or are simply worn out beyond repair.
TOMS Shoes began giving in the USA in 2008 and Friends of TOMS is looking forward to offering our volunteer program in New Orleans, Louisiana. Please visit our Flickr page to see photos from our first "Style Your Sole" Shoe Drop (shoe decorating event) in Gulfport, MS.
What is a Style Your Sole Shoe Drop?
Volunteers visit elementary schools in New Orleans to host Style Your Sole parties where each student has the opportunity to design and keep their very own pair of TOMS Shoes.We provide markers and stencils while volunteers help with the shoe fitting and assist the children with their designs.

August 25th-28th: New Orleans, Louisiana
Application is closed.
*you must be present for an evening orientation on August 25 and all three Shoe Drop days (26th-28th). No exceptions.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
Cost of participation is $350 USD (not including airfare, if applicable)*
What is included in the cost of participation:
Hotel in or around the French Quarter, New Orleans
Continental breakfast at the hotel
Group lunches during Shoe Drop days
Ground transportation (hotel shuttle to/from airport and group travel to/from Shoe Drop schools)
Participation fee: covers Shoe Drop T-shirt and event coordination
What is not included in cost of participation:
Optional group afternoon/evening activities
Dinners
Shopping/personal purchases
Alcoholic beverages
Individual meals, snacks and activities
Individual transportation
Accommodations will be double occupancy rooms.
Group transportation will be in motor coach.
The group will consist of no more than 30 volunteers.
*All volunteers are required to stay in the hotel and travel with the group.

understand the types of questions asked and required information.

the subject.
Please fill out the application ONLY
if you are available to travel during these days and are
available to stay for the entire duration of the trip.
If a question/field does not apply to you, please
enter "N/A." INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Only one application per participant is allowed. Please be sure to
indicate in the application if you are planning/applying to travel with
another person (your "other" must apply separately) and state their name.
All individuals 14 years of age or older have the opportunity to be
considered for the New Orleans Shoe Drop regardless of their race,
color, religion, nationality, sex, or any other characteristic
protected by the applicable state and federal laws.*
*Applicants must be physically able to endure unpredictable, uncomfortable, and strenuous conditions.
