Top Reasons to Run the Silicon Labs Austin Marathon Relay:

Friends: Register your team of five friends, family members, neighbors, colleagues, running buddies or race rivals to conquer the 26.2 mile relay course that is divided into five legs: 12k, 10k, 10k, 5k, 5k.

Fun: This is a family event! There is a kid's village with fun activities for children of all ages, the runner's village showcasing the wares and services of our sponsors along with free food and drink,  and a beer garden for the adults. So not only is the course fun and the format a blast, you don't want to miss the festivities on Town Lake's Auditorium Shores (950 W. Riverside Dr).

Fitness: This Relay is the official first race of the Austin Distance Challenge and a great way to kick-off your fall running season.

Philanthropy: The race benefits Junior Achievement of Central Texas which brings members of the business community into Central Texas classrooms to teach important financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work preparedness programs.  The current financial crisis underscores the need for organizations like Junior Achievement that focus on educating and inspiring students  to succeed in a global economy. JA provides their financial literacy curriculum at no cost to the school districts, schools, or teachers and relies on donor support to keep these programs in schools and better prepare our children for the future.
