The Fifth Annual Silicon Labs Marathon Relay takes place September 27, 2009 and will once again be located at the beautiful Auditorium Shores. The Relay is at the beginning of the Austin Distance Challenge and will mark the start of the fall running season!

The media attention given to the Relay in 2008 made it a wise investment for our sponsors. The Relay was featured in 11 print news stories and received 74 broadcast mentions. On race day, 11 interviews with local spokespeople were featured on local news stations.

The Silicon Labs Relay is a great way to get involved in the Austin community while helping Junior Achievement of Central Texas achieve its goal of ensuring that every child in Central Texas is taught financial literacy and the importance of the free enterprise system. This is a unique and fun marketing opportunity for your company that will help integrate the corporate community with the running and fitness community in Austin. Sponsoring this event will tie your company?s brand to an event that is good for the community and also good for your employees as they work to compete in the Corporate Challenge.

The Title Sponsor, Silicon Labs, is inviting all corporations around Central Texas to get involved and help sponsor this one of a kind event. Many corporations are stepping up to the plate and are committing their companies to the cause with both sponsorship dollars and volunteerism.

The benefactor for this race is Junior Achievement of Central Texas, a non-profit Texas 501 © 3 organization. Sponsorship dollars will go to Junior Achievement, which will be utilized to deliver JA Programs to over 15,000 Central Texas school children.
