The NDSS Buddy Walk program is the largest Down syndrome awareness program in the world. The significant revenues it has generated for NDSS and local Down syndrome organizations have transformed the landscape of the Down syndrome community and allowed us to better serve people with Down syndrome and their families. The 2009 National Buddy Walk Conference will be a celebration of the enormous success of the Buddy Walk program during the past 14 years and a chance for the Buddy Walk community to come together to share and learn from one another and to hear directly from NDSS leadership and the staff who work on the Buddy Walk regarding the future endeavors of the program.
