Student Testimonial
"I learned that not as many people do drugs as we would all think. A lot of the athletes and the two dancers that were in it were a great inspiration to stay drug free."

Dear Educator,

A Present You Can Give for Free

Help inspire children to embrace the giving spirit this season. This season, encourage children to see those less fortunate than them. Give them the gift of pride; help them see how good they will feel to make a difference in someone else's life. Organizations such as Volunteers of America allow you to find volunteer opportunities by state. Volunteer Match, another free resource, provides you with organizations in need of assistance. Make use of your vacation this holiday and volunteer.

Natural High Assembly at Crawford High

In San Diego, Natural High and Dispatch Magazine teamed up to give the students at Crawford High School a break from the regular school day functions. The morning started with an assembly showing Natural High 3.5 presented by Founder himself, Jon Sundt along with Dennis Martinez, ex-world champion skateboarder now on board with the D.O.P.E. Campaign. Their messages were targeted, powerful, and influential as they challenged the students to make choices absent of drugs and alcohol.

Fast forward a few classes later, Dispatch Magazine continued the awareness with a large lunch time rally handing out prizes, information and quizzing students on their knowledge of Red Ribbon history. Read Full Article.

Joke of the Month

Maria went to the Post Office to buy stamps for her Christmas cards.' What denomination?' asked the clerk. 'Oh! Good heavens! Have we come to this?' said Maria, 'Well give me 50 Methodist and 50 Church of England ones please.'

What gift is better than 2 front teeth?  Your time and attention.

Each day, over 4500 kids younger than 18 try drugs for the first time. When kids are unsupervised or have spare time on their hands, they are more likely to become part of that statistic. The holiday break is a great time to broach the subject of drug use and its effects. In addition to talking, or if you?ve already discussed it with your kids, spending time with them this vacation is a great idea. Using that free time to build your relationship can help them see what you value most; them!

Some ideas of things to do: bake holiday goodies, gift shopping together, game nights, cooking lessons (helping them to be independent), ice skating, sports they like to play, bowling, making home made Christmas cards, building a gingerbread house, writing letters to Santa, volunteering at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter, collecting canned food in your community to give to a shelter. The list goes on and on, but it's not what you do, it's that you are experiencing natural highs together. With eggnog and hot toddies everywhere you go and the stress of families and gifts, the holidays are a time where many adults indulge more than usual. Remember this season to set a good example for your children, you are a role model.

"This DVD was excellent. It really kept the kids attention and they really got the message. I work in an area that is overrun with drugs, so programs like yours is exactly what I need to try to counteract what my students see on a daily basis as a way of life. Keep up the great work."
