What gift is better than 2 front teeth? Your time and attention. Each day, over 4500 kids younger than 18 try drugs for the first time. When kids are unsupervised or have spare time on their hands, they are more likely to become part of that statistic. The holiday break is a Some ideas of things to do: bake holiday goodies, gift shopping together, game nights, cooking lessons (helping them to be independent), ice skating, sports they like to play, bowling, making home made Christmas cards, building a gingerbread house, writing letters to Santa, volunteering at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter, collecting canned food in your community to give to a shelter. The list goes on and on, but it's not what you do, it's that you are experiencing natural highs together. With eggnog and hot toddies everywhere you go and the stress of families and gifts, the holidays are a time where many adults indulge more than usual.
