FEBRUARY CHAMPsComing together to Help raise Awareness & Make a difference in Parkinson's disease

Event news

Have you reserved your hotel room for the 20th Parkinson’s Unity Walk yet?  We’ve worked with a variety of hotels to arrange for room blocks at reduced rates at several locations in Manhattan, NY and Jersey City, NJ.

Special negotiated rates are available to our registered walkers—deadlines are as early as March 25 through 28.

Raise Parkinson's awareness by placing brochures in your community!  Place Walk brochures in your workplace, cafeteria, school, gym, library, grocery, coffee shop, etc.

Donations at work

The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) is working on the Parkinson’s Outcomes Project Clinical Dashboard to develop the infrastructure, resources, and evidence necessary to deploy a scalable system to support the provision of efficacious care to everyone with Parkinson’s disease.

The Parkinson's Institute and Clinical Center is investigating what alpha-synuclein accumulation in glia have to do with Parkinsonism?  The goal of this study is to derive induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines from patients with multiple system atrophy (MSA) and assess expression and accumulation of alpha-synuclein in patient-specific differentiated oligodendrocytes.

Fundraising Together for the 2014 Walk

Walkers and teams are coming together -- year round to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's research -- all from their hometowns!  Here's a glimpse into events for the Parkinson's Unity Walk 2014.  Remember to submit your event details!
