10th International
CHARGE Syndrome Conference
July 28 - 31, 2011
Orlando, Florida

The CHARGE Syndrome Conference is the largest worldwide gathering of individuals with CHARGE, their families, professionals and experts on CHARGE. As parents learn and share, family members can attend day camp. With up to 5 or 6 concurrent presentations, the conference offers everyone a unique opportunity to learn from the experts and share experiences with other families.  A CHARGE syndrome conference is a truly magical event.

Register and Pay Early
How would you like a free upgrade to a hotel suite for three nights at the conference?  Each family that registers and pays by April 1, 2011 will receive an entry into a drawing for these prizes:  grand prize of an upgrade to a hotel suite for three nights at the conference, two first prizes of front-row seating for Idol Extravaganza, four second prizes of $50 credit at the sales table.

Just a reminder:  Participation in Sibling Workshops and Idol Extravaganza is limited.  Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.  Members receive priority registration for these events.  (Not a Member?  Join here.....)

Breakout Sessions

Breakout sessions offer something for everyone, from beginner to advanced, whether this is your first conference or your tenth. New parents might spend their time in CHARGE 101, while frequent conference attendees can focus on our new transition strand. The father session and grandparent session always provide open, often emotional, forums for the exchange of ideas.  Please refer to the Session Highlights box on the left for a sneak preview of some of the sessions tentatively scheduled.  Read more about 60+ sessions and poster sessions here........

In response to family requests, we have a new TRANSITION STRAND with multiple sessions that focus on students approaching and preparing for the transition from school to adult living.  Additionally, one session focuses on transitions for young children.  Read more here............

Professional Day

On Thursday, July 28th, professionals join together to transmit information to other professionals about the procedures and methods to understand and treat CHARGE syndrome   Professional Day addresses scientific and clinical issues in the areas of education, communication, medicine, genetics and sensory disorders.   Read more about Professional Day sessions here.....

Parents and individuals with CHARGE are invited to register and participate in Professional Day with the understanding that personal issues will not be addressed and the material may be of a more technical nature.  We also remind you that the purpose of this day is for professionals to communicate with their peers.

Fun for the Kids

While parents learn and share, the conference is also a blast for kids in the family.  Camp is available all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning while sessions are in progress.  A professional camp provider organizes non-stop activities and entertainment by age group.  Read more here...

Friday evening features our Idol Extravaganza, fun for the whole family.  Then Saturday evening is packed with excitement at the CHARGE-A-Palooza dinner, party, dance and silent auction.  You'd be surprised at how much the kids enjoy bidding on their favorite item.

Sibshops  are workshops for the siblings , aged 8 - 13, of individuals with CHARGE.  Siblings have the chance to talk with each other about what it means to have a brother or sister with CHARGE.  Sibshops are conducted by staff from the Tennessee School for the Deaf.  Each year, the children who participate in these workshops give them the highest possible ratings and look forward to the next conference.  Attendance is limited and priority is given to families who are members of the Foundation.
