Launching April 1^st, The Natural High Online Series will showcase one new Natural High musician, athlete, or celebrity every 2 months!

In an effort to share the natural high message more often, through more ways, this new online platform will give you access to watch the bimonthly segments, email the message to a friend, and review the film!

Use the Natural High Online Series to talk to a friend you think is using drugs or simply to get pumped up about living naturally high!!

Interview with a Student Natural High Director

Meet Ryan Jewe. Ryan resides in Fullerton California and loves photography, sports and music. Despite being alive for just 13 years, Ryan is the Producer and Director of his very own Natural High film as part of the 2010 Natural High PSA Video Contest.

Because this video was such a great example of an every day natural high, we asked Ryan to share a little about his experience "behind scenes" and motivation for entering the contest.

How did you decide what you were going to do for the contest?

I wasn't sure how I could show myself taking pictures without making the video boring. I thought of the editing of the Natural High videos in mind when I made my entry.

How did you discover your natural high?

Last year, I developed an interest for photography while in my technology class. I have other natural highs such as sports and music, but photography is something that I think is different from the things I've seen in other submissions. I've taken a special interest in a variation of photography known as macrophotography. Macrophotography is taking large pictures of detailed or small objects.

Why did you enter the PSA Contest? 

I first heard about the Natural High program through my school. My teacher told me about the PSA Contest in 2009. I decided to enter it with one of my friends, but we didn't win. I'm reentering the contest not only for the prizes, but I'm interested in spreading the message of being free from drugs and alcohol.

What was the easiest and hardest part in making your film?

It was really easy to pick my natural high, but the hardest part was working alone.

Did anyone help you with it?

I got inspiration from my friends and Natural High.

I hope teens learn that an artistic and creative outlet can lead to abstinence. 

The Paralympic Games: A Rush Worth the Wait 

If the 2010 Winter Olympics inspired you, you ain't seen nothing yet!!! The Paralympic Games started with a 10-day Paralympic Torch Relay on March 3^rd in Ottawa and will end in Vancouver on March 12^th, the day the Games officially begin and the athletes "unite to celebrate the possible." Athletes will compete in alpine skiing (which is divided into standing, sitting, and visually impaired categories), biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice sledge hockey, and wheelchair curling events. These athletes demonstrate amazing stories of courage and bravery, and they have not allowed the challenges facing them to keep them from pursuing their natural highs.
