The Penn Transplant Institute at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania performs more than 400 solid organ transplants annually and performs more deceased donor transplants annually than any other center in the region (pennhealth.com). This amazing feat would not be possible without the heroic decision of Organ Donors & their families. Please gather your friends and family and join the Penn Transplant Team for the 2009 DASH for Organ Donor Awareness! With your help and support, we can increase the awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donation in order to decrease the waiting list of those who desperately need an organ transplant. Join us on Sunday April 19, 2009 to help spread the word.
