|2017 IRONMAN 70.3 North Carolina
Team Save the Children Fundraising Agreement & Liability Waiver
The terms below are important for you to read through. It provides you all of the information you need to know about registration and confirming your registration with IRONMAN, your fundraising deadlines, and cancellation terms. By registering online & signing this form, you agree to all terms outlined below:
The Team you've joined requires each team member to raise the following minimums by the following schedule:
• $1,750 (10/9/2017)
• Failure to meet $1,750 by 10/9/2017 will result in the inability to race & also result in the system charging your credit card on file any difference between your current fundraising amount and the minimum requirement.
Your payment information is stored securely within the Sphere platform and you won't be charged a penny as long as you hit your fundraising minimum by the deadline date set by your Team. If, for example, you fall $100 short of the final deadline, your credit card will automatically be charged that $100 difference on 10/9/2017.
By agreeing to this form, I understand this team has fundraising minimum of $1,750.
Once you have submitted the online fundraiser registration, we remove a race registration from inventory and reserve it specifically for you. Your Active.com official registration will be sent to you if and only if you submit this form agreeing to raise $1,750 by 10/9/2017.
Athletes will be responsible for paying their own travel and hotel expenses. This allows SCUS to continue its outstanding record of delivering nearly 86.5% of its SCUS budget toward providing immediate and lasting change to children in the US and around the world.
By completing this fundraiser registration form, you request an entry from Team Save the Children for your chosen IRONMAN event. You are acknowledging that you do not currently have a race entry and will register through Team Save the Children, at no additional cost to you. When you submit this form, you are committing to raise $1,750 by 2 weeks prior to race day (10/9/2017).
All donations received are 100% tax deductible to the donor. You must fundraise for Save the Children, a registered 501(c)(3). The funds raised will help provide children around the world with what they deserve, a healthy start, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm.
TEAM SCUS WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
You must contact the SCUS Endurance Race Coordinator, Rebecca Edwards (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com) as early as possible in writing, if you are not able to participate.
If you have to withdraw from your chosen Team Save the Children event due to personal reasons or injury AFTER you have already electronically registered for the race (via the online registration link emailed to you from Active.com), you will still be responsible for the entire fundraising minimum $1,750.
If you have to withdraw from an event due to personal reasons or injury BEFORE you have electronically registered for the race (via the online registration link emailed to you from Active.com), you will not be responsible for your fundraising minimum if and only if we are able to find another athlete to fill your spot on the team up until 100 days before the race date (7/17/2017). If another athlete is not able to fill your spot on the team, or you withdraw past the 100 day mark before the race date you will still be responsible for your fundraising minimum $1,750 regardless of whether or not you compete.
Any monies that you have raised or donated before you leave the team are nonrefundable.
