1. Sign Up
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. ONSITE REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN AT 10:30 AM AT SCHENECTADY CENTRAL PARK. Click on the Register Here button above to register online. Remember to choose the option REGISTER A FAMILY if you want to use one fundraising page for your entire family. While registering, remember to create a personalized link to your web page. The 2011 Capital Region Buddy Walk will take place at Schenectady’s Central Park on Sunday, October 2nd. By participating in the Buddy Walk, you will help make a difference in the lives of individuals with Down syndrome.
2. Create Your Online Fundraising Page
After you register, customize your personal fundraising page by editing text, uploading pictures and changing the colors of your page. You can make changes to your web page as many times as you’d like.
3. Spread the Word
Once your personal fundraising page has been set up, you can send emails to your friends and family through your E-mail Center. The emails will provide a direct link to your personal page where your friends and family can make a donation on your behalf. We've even written some sample emails to help get you started!
Even if you are unable to be in the Capital Region for the Buddy Walk, you can still be a virtual walker from anywhere. Or you can simply make a charitable donation to help support the Buddy Walk program and the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center by clicking on GENERAL DONATION above.
