Run for Friendship with the 2010 Philadelphia Marathon, ½ Marathon, or 8K Benefiting Best Buddies Pennsylvania

Like all marathons sanctioned by USA Track & Field, the Philadelphia Marathon is 26.2 miles. Experience our great city, culture and colonial history at Independence Hall, the Betsy Ross House, and the Liberty Bell. The course is fast, with digital splits provided at each mile marker. Fluid stations and spectator overlooks are set up throughout the length of the course.
The Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile event that was established in response to increasing demand from die-hard runners to amateurs looking to get their feet wet, and those runners in between who want a serious challenge, but don't have the time to train for a full marathon.
The Rothman Institute 8K (4.97mile) race offers runners of all skill and experience levels a chance to challenge themselves and to be a part of the action.
We wish all of our runners the best of luck as they prepare for and run the Philadelphia Marathon in support of our amazing programs!
Best Buddies is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. Here in Pennsylvania our program exists in 68 middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Everyday we are looking to expand and bring awareness to the social isolation a person with an intellectual disability encounters. Please help us enhance more lives and provide more opportunities to the people of Pennsylvania.
