Building the Fire
for the Next 100 Years
Before there was a fire, there was a flame. Before the flame, there was a spark. And, before the spark could glow, it needed the right tinder and care to reach great heights.
If you are a Parent, a Volunteer, Board Member, or Scouting supporter, you have helped to fan a spark of greatness in every Scout whose life you have touched. How well you care for the spark impacts how large the flame can grow. And after a century of sparking character and integrity into the hearts and minds of our countryís young people, more than 100 million Scouts have grown into some of the nationís greatest leaders, advocates, citizens, parents, and friends.
From the first Scout in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America has created a legacy. From one spark today, we can create a fire to warm the next 100 years of Scouting.
