Team WHOI runs in the 2010 CIGNA Falmouth Road Race

YES! We are very excited about Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s first year of participation in the CIGNA Falmouth Road Race. Our TeamWHOI runners will be raising funds to support the Institution’s mission: “To use research and education to advance understanding of the ocean and its interaction with the Earth.”

We hope to make this first year a successful one, but we need your help. Please consider supporting one of the runners, or TeamWHOI as a whole, because the ocean’s impact on humanity - and humanity’s impact on the oceans, have never been greater. Our ability to help address many of society’s pressing problems -- environmental, economic, national security, climate change, food, water, energy resources, pollution -- depends largely on how much knowledge we can gain about the oceans.
