Jolly Jaunt Boston

Saturday December 5, 2009

Online registration is now closed but you can still register for the event one of two ways!

1. Head to the Boylston Street location of City Sports between 11 AM and 7 PM on Friday, 12/4, and sign up there.

2. Come to the event Saturday morning at the Boston Common and register between 8 AM and 9:45 AM. The event starts at 10 AM so come down early and hang out!

Two Exciting Pieces of News!
1. Participate in our Thanksgiving Challenge - Be the top fundraiser between the dates of Monday, November 16th and Sunday, November 29th and you will win an authentic, full-size Rawlings baseball bat signed by the Captain of the Boston Red Sox, Jason Varitek! This will make a great addition to any collection or a perfect holiday gift for the sports fan on your shopping list! The Thanksgiving Challenge will last through the holiday weekend so you have the opportunity to get donations from friends and family you will see at gatherings.

2. Check out our official Jolly Jaunt online shop by clicking here. You can customize t-shirts, sweatshirts, running suits and any other type of apparel! This is an especially great place to visit if you want to make up shirts or other things for your team in advance of the Jolly Jaunt!

Seasons Greetings!

The Jolly Jaunt is a fun and meaningful way to kick off the holiday season. Last year over 1,200 jaunters came to the Boston Common and ran or walked to support the athletes of Special Olympics Massachusetts.

The 5k run is an officially timed and measured USATF course. Or if you aren't a runner we also have a great walking course around the Boston Common!

Bring your friends and family and wear your best holiday attire. We'll even help you "ring" in the season by providing jingle bells for all sneakers!

All proceeds help support the overall health of Special Olympics Massachusetts' athletes through athletic competition, health screenings and educational programs.
