On behalf of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research and the 42,000 people who are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the 12th Annual LA CANCER CHALLENGE on Sunday, October 25, 2009.
We are proud to report that we had our most successful event to date. With the most registered runners we have ever had, the number of participants was our largest ever. Another 500 people contributed their time and energy, including volunteers, family & friends, exhibitors and sponsors. Our Team Captains and Pledge Heroes raised a record dollar amount this year and we are still counting. We are eagerly looking forward to having our final financial tally, and sharing the good news with all of you.
The Hirshberg Foundation is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer research. We will continue our efforts until there is a cure. Though we win small battles every day, to continue the important research necessary to find a cure, we must have the support of caring friends like you. So, thank you.
See you next year as we celebrate the 13th Annual LA Cancer Challenge on Halloween, Sunday, October 31, 2010.
