Fundraising, attendance records set in Police Win

What a night! The 2017 CHaD Battle of the Badges Baseball Classic, presented by Faro Italian Grille, was a smashing success! Thanks to players, sponsors, and fans - those in attendance and those who donated - fundraising and attendance records were set in the seventh annual Police v. Fire baseball game. Nearly 2,000 people turned out as the game generated over $100,000 for the kids and services at CHaD. The record amount pushed the game's all-time fundraising to more than $420,000 in seven years.

Police won the action on the field, besting Team Fire, 15-2, thanks to outstanding pitching. Garrett Jewell of the Merrimack County Department of Corrections started the game with three scoreless innings and Police never looked back. With the victory, Police now has a 4-3 series lead. Team Fire, however, won the fundraising battle and will occupy the home dugout once again in 2018.

Photos are already available on our Facebook page so be sure to check those out and relive the memories from an awesome night!
